Top question this month: "You mention SCORM and game programming. I know you're into edu games, but I'm not aware that SCORM has anything to do with gaming?"
 
Answer: Actually, SCORM, as a DOD (and particularly in complex learning and sim games, Department of the Navy) standard for warfare and other sim games, is all about gaming in some applications and environments. The SCORM folks are always trying to "push" the standard on industry because they believe in it (and despite Bill Clinton's wishes, it is not required outside of government contracts), and in real life, programs like Unity 3D (an engine-- you first need artists - rendering, then animation with Maya, Blender, 3Ds, etc., THEN you use Unity) do have "hooks" for SCORM. Note that the 4th generation (2004!) SCORM version is STILL NOT approved for "Wisconsin" validation!
